Installs the 8v command, adds it to your PATH, and starts it. macOS and Linux.

8v desktop install

Or download from 8vast.io/download.

The desktop app gives you the same features with a graphical interface. Terminal and desktop connect to the same system — use whichever you prefer.

Verify

8v doctor

This checks that everything is working: the CLI, your toolchain, and the connection to the background service.
